BUYING POLICY
Auntie Erl's requires an appointment if you are interested in selling more than 10 items at a time. Appointments are scheduled for Wednesday through
Saturday mornings. Please call or email the store to inquire about the next available opening. Auntie Erl continues to honor walk-ins with 10 or
fewer items at any time. In either case, buying customers will always take priority. You may be asked to leave your items and let me sort through
them as soon as I'm able if the store is particularly busy.
There is ONE MAJOR CHANGE to our purchasing policy. Starting February 2010 we will require that ALL SELLERS take a minimum of 25% store credit. The
remaining balance is up to you - cash or credit. We hope you can understand this is necessary to strengthen the business and ensure we can stay
committed to those of you who buy as well as sell to our store.
General guidelines include:
1) If your items are clearly for children 2 years or younger, we do not purchase them unless you take store credit as payment.
2) Only quality merchandise will be considered for purchase. Please clean and sort through your items before bringing them to the store.
Items must meet the following criteria:
a. Clean and folded.
b. No stains, rips, missing buttons, cat or dog hair or broken zippers.
c. Toys must have all the pieces and be clean. If YOU count the pieces at home and SEAL the box (even just with scotch tape).
I will take your word that the game is complete. If your children do it I cannot take their word. We have run into too many mistakes to do so.
I will have to count the pieces at the store.
3) Auntie Erl's will only consider brands with a perceived value of Gap, Old Navy, Gymboree and better (Limited, Too, Justice, Talbots, Crew Cuts,
Mini Boden, Hanna Andersson and other specialty brands).
4) Auntie Erl's is always looking for NIB (New in Box) toys, classic toys, sports equipment, DVDs, and Toddler Table and Chair sets.
5) Pajamas and shoes must be in excellent condition to be considered.
If you accept store credit as payment for your items your will receive an additional 20%.
Any refused items that are not picked up within one week will become property of Auntie Erl, and I will do what I believe is best to dispose or
distribute them.
* Every year there are times when our circumstances prevent us from purchasing any items unless you take store credit. As a rule, this is the case
every January and February. Other times it just depends on our sales volume. As always, exceptions are possible, esp. if you have easy-to-sell items.
